The Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park (HFHP) is an independent charitable foundation administered by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees. Each year, the Board allocates grant dollars to safeguard excellence in our community’s healthcare, focusing on the needs of the disadvantaged, the uninsured, and the most vulnerable members of our society.

Established in 2000, the Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park has granted more than $100 million dollars to over 50 charitable health and healthcare related organizations that are in and around the Highland Park Hospital service area. Through these grants, the Foundation has impacted the lives of tens of thousands of individuals by supporting programs of mostly smaller not-for-profit organizations. Funds are also awarded to Highland Park Hospital to offset the cost of uncompensated care, ensuring the availability of quality healthcare services for those in need.

Several examples of the services made available by the HFHP’s grants include
- Acute and non-acute medical care
- Health screenings and health education
- Mental healthcare services
- Programs for adults with special needs
- Therapeutic services for children with autism and other disabilities
- Counseling for victims of sexual assault, abuse, and rape
This brief list represents just a few of the valuable and essential services supported. The HFHP welcomes working with mostly smaller healthcare related charitable organizations that target specific programs in the service area of Highland Park Hospital. Please refer to the map on the Guidelines page.
